Chalet in Julai’a

Julai’a, Kuwait - 2020

After demolishing their old beach house, this family wanted to rebuild the cozy back into their weekend abode. The design had to sit on the existing foundation, and provide ample views and usable spaces. Using materials referencing older chalets, the building sits lightly on the site and angles slightly to create views and gathering areas all the way down to the water.

This project is built and happily occupied.
